s02e01 – Peter, Peter, Caviar Eater – Review0

Una review de uno de los mejores capítulos que he visto.

Lois’ Aunt dies and leaves her the Cherrywood Mansion. The family moves in to the new mansion in Newport only to lose their fortune after Peter makes an extravagant purchase at a charity auction.

La tía de Lois se muere y le hereda la Mansión Cherrywood. La familia se muda a la nueva mansión en Newport solo para perder su fortuna después de que Peter hace una oferta extravagante en una subasta de caridad

 

Excellent episode.

No more words are needed to describe it. The way the rich/poor socio-economical status of people is clearly contrasted to remember us that sometimes our values are compromised because of the belief that: “the people with lots of money are clearly better than everyone else” is both fun and so realistic the helps you think a while about it.

There’s also touching with the stereotype of the person that dies leaving all behind being at the same time “the family of our girl”… What is the most human position? To enjoy her being passed away or to magically forget all she did to us and to cry her. Off course for me this is a delicate topic but people often get what they deserve… I’m not implying that she should have died… nature plays his dices accordingly to its wisdom but it was funny up to the n-th when she said that she always had known that Lois was going to end up with a wonderful man who was going to make all her dreams come true and then:

- But I was wrong.

- And now your death… scores 1 for Peter!

XD Classic!!!

Another brilliant aspect of the episode is the accent of the rich guys XD:

“Peter, darling, we had no idea you were such a philanthropist”

“One hundred forty thousand!”

So cool! I cannot make them.

In the end… excellent review of the rich/poor social-economical branch among people. Brilliant!
